This program will provide you with a solid foundation in the culinary arts by combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on training to ensure you gain the necessary skills and confidence to excel in any professional kitchen environment. You can also trail higher-level qualifications such as a CIV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Commercial Cookery, opening doors to advanced career opportunities and managerial positions within the industry.

Entry Requirements

Eligibility rules apply to students wanting to enrol in this program with Redmako Learning including:

  • Must be aged 15 years or above
  • Students studying in Australia must be an Australian or NZ Citizen or permanent resident

After enrolling in the course, each student must complete the Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) evaluation. This LLN evaluation will assist Redmako Learning in identifying each learner’s needs and the appropriate support required.

Each student must also provide their USI (Unique Student Identifier) before they will gain access to their materials. If you do not have a USI, we will provide instructions of how you can create one.

Course Fees & Payment Options

SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is funded by the government under User Choice for courses listed under the Australian Apprenticeship Priority List

For Employers

To support the Cookery industry, the Australian and Queensland Governments are providing incentives directly to all Employers who engage a Trainee or Apprentice.

Furthermore, in an unprecedented move, the Australian Government will pay your Apprentices up to $5,000 each under the Priority Hiring Incentive program as a Support Payment to further incentivise them to be retained in the industry to complete their apprenticeship in your business.

You may be eligible to receive a Priority Hiring Incentive of up to $5000 in the first year of an apprenticeship, paid over two instalments of

  • $2,000 at 6 months and $3,000 at 12 months (full- time) 
  • $1,000 at 6 months and $1,500 at 12 months (part-time)

Course Fees

For eligible staff the Queensland Government will subsidise tuition under their User Choice funding program – they just mandate the following Student Contribution Fees are charged, payable by Employer or Student.
